THANKS
TO THESE EMPLOYERS FOR
HELPING SHAPE OUR COMMUNITY:
Seven Pacesetter
Organizations Raised $31,000 For The United Way!
Employees from American Federal Bank, Blue Cross/Blue Shield of North
Dakota, Concrete, Inc., Noridian Administrative Services, PRACS
Institute, Ltd., Thompson Insurance and Widseth, Smith & Nolting set
an outstanding pace for the 2007 fund-raising campaign for the United
Way of Grand Forks, East Grand Forks and Area, raising $31,221 under
the guidance of Pacesetter coordinator Alan Bye and account executive
Roxanne Burkholder both from Alerus Financial.
Seven
organizations participated in the Pacesetter Campaign this year.
These organizations ran their employee campaigns early, striving for a
20% increase and achieving a 79% increase in employee giving. The
Pacesetters used proven strategies; United Way presentations with
agency speakers, special events including penny wars, bake sales and
silent auctions and incentives such as casual days and paid personal
time off to make their campaigns informative, creative and fun. Their
generous donations have set the pace for the rest of the community.
United Way raises and distributes funds to local non-profit agencies
and provides direct services to the local community through its
Volunteer Center, Help Book and direct service programs such as Undies
Sundays and Toys for Tots.
Our $1,000,000 campaign is now under way
and the needs in the local area are greater than ever. Your support
is greatly needed and appreciated. Thank you.
